Purple Tree uses the Ministry of Education’s ELECT document to guide the development of our weekly programs. All teachers prepare weekly programs for their individual classrooms based on the interests of their children. Please go to “Our Programs” for more details on specific programs.
With our low child:teacher ratios and smaller classroom sizes, we provide an intimate and calm environment. This atmosphere promotes strong individual instruction, good listening opportunities ensuring we can deliver our curriculum, and a positive atmosphere for social interactions.
Purple Tree operates out of unique, large, renovated, turn-of-the-century house in the heart of Davisville Village that maintains its wonderful charm. A fantastic front garden full of flowers and vegetables offers a special opportunity for children to connect with the outdoors.
We are proud of our many social awareness/charity efforts that empower our children to become Good Citizens. Some of the initiatives we take part in are: Blessings in a Backpack, Children’s Aid Society Halloween Candy Drop, The Book Bank, and our Bake Sale for The Children’s Wish Foundation are some examples.
